• What's the Mission?

Medamorfosis is my personal quest to reverse prediabetes and high cholesterol. It’s about shedding old habits, embracing wellness, and transforming my life. Along the way, I share tips, recipes, and lifestyle changes that are helping me (and hopefully you!) grow and evolve. My ultimate goal is to become a physician, and I hope to use this journey as an opportunity to deepen my understanding of health and wellness.

  • Why the name, Medamorfosis?

Medamorfosis is a blend of my passion for medicine and my Hispanic roots, inspired by the Spanish word metamorfosis, which symbolizes transformation. Just like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly, this blog reflects my journey of embracing change. It celebrates how our health, identity, and growth are deeply interconnected, and how reclaiming all three can lead to powerful transformation.

  • What is the Mariposa Poderosa community? 𐀔

"Mariposa" means butterfly in Spanish, and "Poderosa" translates to powerful—together, they represent the strength, grace, and transformation that comes with embracing change. The Mariposa Poderosa community is for anyone ready to shed old habits, embrace wellness, and step into their full power. Think of it as a space to share your growth, get inspired, and connect with others who are evolving just like you. Together, we’re not just changing—we’re becoming mariposas poderosas.

  • Are you a medical professional?

No — I’m simply sharing my personal experiences and what works for me as I navigate my health transformation. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology and have experience working in various health-related roles, including as a nutritional educator, medical translator, research assistant, and community health advocate. My dream is to one day become a physician because I want to help individuals understand their health better, guide them toward preventative care, and provide support through their healthcare journey with compassion and clarity. For now, I’m here to share what I’ve learned and continue growing on my path toward that goal.
